Looking for boutique hotels in Salzburg? Here are our recommendations!
Choosing a hotel in Salzburg can be tough as there are many great choices. While some search for large hotels, others prefer boutique hotels. In this article we selected 4 of our favourite boutique hotels in Salzburg.
Hotel Auersperg
The boutique style Hotel Auersperg is a high quality family-run hotel with a warm feeling to it. The hotel is located minutes away from the old town which is practical and convenient. It has a lovely garden where guests can relax and enjoy a true vacation. At the wellness area on the roof guests can enjoy massages or attend yoga sessions. The hotel serves wonderful meals with local and organic products.
Hotel Goldgasse
A rather small yet luxurious hotel, the Goldgasse is an impressive 14th century building at the very center of Salzburg’s old town. The hotel’s restaurant, the Gasthof Goldgasse, is a place where you’ll find a variety of Austria’s sweet delicacies as well as Austrian wines. The rooms of this hotel are very unique as they are each decorated differently and in line with aspects of the Salzburg Festival (a famous music and drama festival since 1920 which takes place every summer and lasts for about five weeks).
Art Hotel Blue Goose
Located on the well-known shopping street Getreidegasse, the Art Hotel Blue Goose is a very convenient starting point to sightsee the town by foot. Although the Blue Goose has been operating for about 650 years, the hotel has been remodelled and refurbished so it does not call attention right away in terms of its historical style. However, a closer look and you’ll recognise such details and awe, perhaps in part due to many of the works of art exhibited there.
Hotel Elephant
A 13th century historically charming building located in the middle of the old Salzburg town, the Hotel Elefant is very well located to explore the city. In fact, the Getreidegasse as well as the birthplace of W.A. Mozart are just a few steps away.
